Nashik

A historic holy city in Maharashtra, Nasik is famous for its connections to the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. Predominantly known as a pilgrimage center, Nashik experiences sufficiently pleasant weather conditions and plays host to the ‘Kumbh Mela’ which is regarded as one of the holiest celebrations amongst the Hindu community. River Godavari, which originates in the Brahmagiri Hills, flows right through the holy city.
